Let's look back

I needed music today-I had a pretty stressful day at work because students are still trying to turn in projects for this marking period and grades are due tomorrow, I had to drag two kids through the grocery store and my daughter insisted on being the only person to put items in the cart, I had to rush home to get dinner together, and hubby wasn’t going to be home until after 8. I had a phone call in the midst of my kid time, and my little angels decided to run around like banshees while the dog barked. Let’s just say that when my husband called at 8:15 I was in no mood to chat-I needed some tunes, and not just any tunes. I needed something to remind me of my youth, so America was my band of choice. And, since I haven’t done Tuesday tunes for a while, I thought you might enjoy reminiscing too. I couldn’t stop at one so here’s America with “Ventura Highway,” “You can do Magic,” “Horse with No Name,” “I need you,” and "Sister Golden Hair." Hopefully I have something for everybody...

And, 30 years later they still sound good...

  6. Good choice! When I was a kid and we went out for pizza it was my ritual to get a guarter from my Dad and play Horse With No Name on the jukebox. It was one of my 1st favorite songs.

  10. I never heard of them before, I like listening to new music...and I really need to get a reply feature to my comments, but I wanted to reply to your last comment on my blog:

Don't worry about linking twitter to your feed, instead get on there yourself and post a direct link. I get a lot of traffic from twitter and I post my links directly, so don't ditch it.

And thanks for getting emails from my feed...I've heard others say even though they follow through GFC, some don't see my updates so they get emails, too. :)

BTW, my twitter adress is: http://www.twitter.com/ThetaMom Follow me and then I can follow you!

  11. It is amazing how relaxing music can be - sometimes it is even more effective than a drink. I think that is because it works faster! Love your writing style Great blog.
