Reflections?
It's Sunday evening, and after viewing many of your posts, I find myself back at my site staring at a blank white screen because I am unsure of what I want to tell all of you. I don’t have any sage advice for you to follow tonight, but what I am going to offer is something you all have given me this evening-a chance to reflect on your lives. Your posts make me laugh, make me think, and best of all make me remember past events that are very dear to me, so I thought I would try to do this for you.But I am not going to fill this post with words because I think it would lesson the impact. Instead, I am going to do what "September Mom" from My Voice My View often does-I am going to turn to a singer/songwriter to help, so listen to the words from one of my favorite soul-searching songs: Landslide by Stevie Nicks, think about your life, float back in time, and enjoy your reflection.
that is my favorite Stevie Nicks song....the remake by the Dixie Chicks isn't bad either!
ReplyDeleteI love Stevie Nicks! Her voice is amazing:) Thanks so much for mentioning my blog too. I love how music can bring peace and happiness to me, especially when I have one of those crazy "mom, I need this" kind of days!!! I think I'll listen to Stevie another time now :)
ReplyDeleteOne more thing. Seeing the photos of Stevie and her dad are so touching. I think of my Dad and how much I miss him as I watch this video. The words are so meaningful. Thanks Susan.
ReplyDeleteI like this song. My sister used it for her father/daughter dance at her wedding. I thought it was wonderful but was a bit jealous because I picked it out for her!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great song. One of my favorites. My younger sister loves to sing it and she has such a pretty voice too.
ReplyDeleteI love this song, and every time I hear it play on the radio, it makes reflect back to days gone by.
